Two new Magnolia Cards

Hello everyone,

As much as i like to scrapbook and make cards in the vintage style, i am also addicted to the Magnolia stamps. I have made two cards past week for a designteam call at the blog Tilda´s Town.

The first one is called Thank You because i made it for a friend :

The card is made from the Nature Garden paperline from Prima. ( again, lol)
The beautiful raisin flower i bought from the webshop from Bettina Kleijer,  http://www.scrap-unlimited.nl/  She sells beautiful embellishments, a lot in the vintage style, so if you like that you really need to take a look in her store. The second card i made with an old Websters Pages line.

I colored the roses and rosebuds myself with glimmermist. And ofcourse i used a lot of liquid pearls on both projects. I tried to create some depth by putting several layers of the second card on popdots.

Now i have to be patient for the result of the call, very difficult for me!! Lol!

I hope you all have a nice week!

Layout; Wonderful

Yes,yes, after many projects with the prima papers i purchased ( and problably more to come ) i have made a layout with papers from another company. It´s the Ciao Bella line from Die Cuts With a View.

I had it lying in my closet for a long time now and i finally made a project with it. In the store i fell in love with the colors and vintage images on the papers of this line but in the end i found it hard to use the papers for a layout because of the bold patterns.

In the end i came to this;

What i want to ask my readers who also have a blog is; what do you use or do to make a good picture of your layout? Are you using a camera or a scanner? I am very curious!

About my scrapbooking, I am currently working on a paperbag album ( my first ) and i have to make some cards for some occassions. When they are finished i will show them here on my blog.

I also want to thank you all for visiting my little space on the internet and commenting on my posts. I really apreciate it and i love to visit your blogs because they are all very inspirational!

A vintage card

Hello everyone,

I am writing this post while it is raining here in the Netherlands. Upcoming weekend we get 2 beautiful summer days they say, and i can´t wait for it!! I really do not like rainy days!

Today i am showing you 2 cards i have made for the designteamcall at ZVA creative. It is a company who makes beautiful bling, flowers, etc. You had to submit a few cards, layouts or other projects.

This card i created again with the Prima Nature Garden collection and i used my sewingmachine on this one. The rose flowers were all white and i coloured them with distress inks. The black flower i made from paper from the collection and i combined two punches here. A flower punch and a martha steward edge punch. I finished the card by adding gesso and liquid pearls.

The second card is made with an older paperline from Websters Pages and vellum.

I stamped swirls and a quote on the tag with vintage photo distress ink. I also did a lot of fussycutting and i added a lot of pearls on the card. The little dots of liquid pearls finished it.

I hope the ZVA creative team likes my projects but as this is an international call there will be many, many other people who will submit there work. So, say a little prayer for me please, may it will help!
Lol!

Thank you for stopping by and i hope you all have a nice week!

The Boys

Hello everyone,

Last summer we went on holiday with my parents to Germany. The photo on the layout i am showing you today we made on the mountain at Winterberg. My husband, father and son and i climbed the mountain for the beautiful view from there. I took the picture while they were standing in a field full of flowers.

I made the layout again with Prima papers, this time from the Nature Garden collection. I used my sewingmachine to make some stitches on some of the papers. I heat embossed with a script stamp on the black frame and also on the flags of the banner. Under the letterstickers from Echo Park.

The orange flowers i made myself with a Crealiesdie and the other ones are all Prima. I used some pearls and spacers from my stash for flowercenters and i also made the charm on the left. The big butterfly i bought at a gardencentre. The photocorners are also from a Crealies die and i decorated them with liquid pearls. A few years ago i purchased a hotfix tool, and i can't say i used it a lot. So i thought it was time to dust it off and i applied some black jewels with it on my layout. Of course i also used the stickles and gesso.

I hope you all have a nice weekend!
